I’m finally getting around to recapping our spring break vacation to 30A aka Seaside, Florida! It has been YEARS since my family has taken a vacation out of state together, so this was such a fun treat for us, especially since it was the last trip before we bring a baby into the family! 30A is absolutely stunning, the weather was incredible, and I’m already counting down the days until I’m able to go back!

We rented a house from 30A Beach Girls through VRBO and could not have been happier with the house! It was absolutely adorable, spacious, clean, and a great location. The 30A Beach Girls team was so easy to work with, and they even surprised us on our last day there by bringing their VW Bus photo booth to the house! The house we chose was located in Seacrest with access to Rosemary beach, only about a 5 minute walk and there were also trams throughout the neighborhood that picked us up and dropped us off at the beach. We loved everything about the house and definitely plan on renting through 30 Beach Girls again in the future.

One of my favorite parts of the entire 30A highway is that there are SO many different things to do! Each beach and community has it’s own personal flare and I could have spent a month exploring all of the cute little towns individually, but unfortunately we were only there a week. Besides obviously going to the beach or the pool, some of our favorites were exploring the shops around Seaside, walking around Rosemary Beach’s shops near The Pearl, and bike riding. People bike all over 30A and I love it!

Our favorite restaurant we went to was Stinkys Fish Camp! The fried seafood was absolutely delicious, and I think their fried catfish might be the best I’ve ever had. The service was great, a cute casual atmosphere, and delicious food!
We were also big fans of Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary Beach. This is a casual lunch spot with great food, and apparently they are known for their ice cream nachos, WHAT! Unfortunately they were out of ice cream on the day we were there, so we weren’t able to try them… but I’m already planning a trip back just to try ice cream nachos 🙂
On our second night in town we explored Seaside and ate at the foodtrucks there in town. Everyone was able to order something different, and I chose Meltdown on 30A and it did not disappoint! Big grilled cheese fan.
We did eat a nicer meal out at a restaurant called Old Florida Fish House. I’m not sure if we just caught them on an off night, or if it’s always that way… but we waited FOREVER to sit down, and then we waited FOREVER for our food, and sadly we were very disappointed when we finally ate. I’m pretty sure Drew was planning a snack to eat back at the house before we even left the restaurant because the food was subpar and really small portions for expensive prices after waiting all night to eat.
And there you have it! 30A officially has my heart, and I can’t wait to go back!
