Right behind Drew being difficult to shop for, next in line is my dad. For 27 years he has received shirt after shirt after shirt from me for all occasions… Christmas, Father’s Day, his Birthday. Poor guy… we’re getting to a point now where any time I buy him a new polo I have to look at it long and hard to decide if he has it already.
When we were little and by we I mean mainly me and occasionally with the help of Mallory… on Christmas morning I would find an empty sack from something that had already been opened, would run into his bathroom, grab his shaving cream, tooth brush and other toiletry items, throw them in the bag and then give it to him as a present from me! I thought I was just so funny and clever and every year he would giggle and shake his head at me and say “thank you Madison!” in a proud voice. I thought it was the best, funniest thing ever as a kid. Dad’s just have a way of making something so simple, so much sillier. The other day we were talking about Christmas gifts and how hard it is to shop for him and he reminded me of how I did that all the time as a kid. Putting together this list was tough for me, and at one point I thought I might just need to throw it back to the good ole days and resort back to my old gift giving strategies for my dad!
In all seriousness, much like shopping for my mom, it’s hard to shop for someone when you owe them the world and more for all they’ve done for you. I have the kindest and most loving dad in the world, and no gift in my opinion will ever be good enough for him! With that being said, I did my best to round up some items I feel like my own dad may enjoy, or other dads in general. I hope it’s helpful to you as well!

Brass & Wood Photo Display Boxes
I think these display photo frames are such a sweet gift for a dad or grandfather! I know my own dad has lots of photos of his girls in his office, and the brass and wood combination is so classy and pretty. These would definitely be a great sentimental gift to give of children or grandchildren! I am sure my dad would much rather have photos of Baker Wood now than the three of us girls!
This is another one of Drew’s new favorite brands. So far he has two different pairs of Allbirds, including these wool tennis shoes, and he loves them. I like that they are comfy tennis shoes, but can be dressed up a little more than regular athletic shoes. Drew will wear his with jeans and a nice shirt to church occasionally or out to dinner. He says they’re super comfortable and is already eyeing some new styles and colors he now wants!
For the dad that enjoys hosting, cooking or grilling. I love that you can personalize this tray with a last name, and the antler handles give it a much more manly feel than most serving trays. This would be a great gift to give in conjunction with a food gift like meats and cheese or bbq rubs and spices.
