Oh boy!
I am very much still in that “honeymoon”, completely swooning, *tearing up just at the sight of a monogramed baby blue smocked onesie* stage of pregnancy! I just thought the first trimester bliss was fun… now knowing the gender and being able to window (and real life) shop for him is too much for my heart to handle! Nobody bring me down from cloud nine 😉
In full transparency, it’s no secret that Drew and I both were a little *too* convinced baby was a girl. Our gut instincts and many other signs pointed toward girl, and I was more than excited to dress a sweet baby girl and shop for her. Initially after finding out the gender was a boy, of course I was excited, but I would be lying if I said there wasn’t just a little bit of sadness that there would not be any pink bows in my near future.
It’s amazing just how quickly the Lord shifted my perspective and in a matter of a couple of days I have completely fallen in love with the fact that this sweet little human is going to be a boy! I can’t imagine anything else, and he’s not even here yet. My misconception that boy clothes just “aren’t as cute” has been officially revoked and this boy mama is completely obsessed with it all!
Puppy dogs, golf tees, cars and trucks and planes, and of course the most beautiful shades of blue and green… this is going to be fun!
Here are just a *few* of the things I am eyeing and already buying for baby boy!
Doodle Plush Rocker // Solly Baby Striped Sleeper // Solly Baby Striped Hat // Mint Green Shorts // Khaki Shorts // Monogram White Bubble // Tan Loafers // Green Gingham Button Down // White Lace Shoes // Thank You Cards // Puppy Sweater // Striped Footie // Golf Footie // Smocked Blue Bubble // Giraffe // Blue Striped Diaper Cover // White Canvas Sneakers // Barefoot Dreams Lovey // Socks // Wooden Train // Green Striped Shorty // Overalls // Solly Baby Sleep Gown
Our first stop after leaving the sonogram gender reveal as a couple was to our precious local children’s boutique here in Tyler… Haute Totz, and this mama did just a little bit of damage right out the gate! Haute Totz has *so* many precious pieces and carries tons of great brands for babies and kids. I bought him three little outfits that day including this golf onesie by Kissy Kissy! I quickly discovered that I am going to love the Kissy Kissy brand, especially for footies and pajamas!
Another brand I am loving is Solly Baby! They have stunning new arrivals for spring and summer and at the top of my list is this little striped sleep set with the matching hat as well as this wrap! Solly baby wraps are designed to evenly distribute baby’s weight across your upper body without pinching or straining your shoulders or back. The brand is designed and created by a mom herself and the wraps are made with lightweight and silky soft fabrics for mom and baby!
Another item I completely adore are these little thank you cards that say “From the Nursery of Baby…” These are so perfect to use as thank you notes for showers and all things baby! I’ll definitely be ordering some of them for Baby Evans!
I could probably go on and on for days… so for now, we’ll stop there! Stay tuned for more coming soon, the shopping and browsing all things baby boy won’t end any time soon!
xx,
Madison
