A few days ago we received back our maternity session photos from my sweet friend, fellow mama and talented photographer, Hannah Trammel! It’s so fun to look back at these photos, and a little hard to believe it was only five weeks ago that baby boy was still in my belly, waiting to make his appearance to the world!
For maternity photos, I wanted to keep things very simple and classic. I just wanted a few photos to document such a precious time in our lives and the blessing that was pregnancy and being able to carry our baby boy. As I set out to find the right look for our photos, I was a bit disheartened by the lack of maternity options and after sifting through what felt like every maternity brand I could think of, I became really discouraged.
I decided to shift gears and look for non-maternity dresses that might work with my constantly growing third trimester bump and that’s when I came across the Winslow dress. It was everything I was looking for – a stunning blue and white floral print, the classic wrap silhouette, and just the right amount of flow and movement in the long skirt to give the dress an added touch of elegance.
As a lover of all things blue and white, it really is the dress of my dreams!
This beauty would be perfect for a special event or occasion, to wear to a wedding, or even as a bridesmaid. It is not maternity and there is little to no stretch in the fabric, but I sized up to accommodate the bump, and it worked nicely. This style also comes in seven color/print options, and there are also a few options for petite and plus size. It’s a bit more pricey than what I normally spend on a single piece, but for the occasion it was more than worth the price tag!
I’ll cherish these photos always!
xx,
