Hi friends!
Wow! What a crazy couple of weeks! I am so excited to be back on the blog and share all of the excitement from everything that has happened since May 30, 2020!
We are officially MARRIED! Amidst all of the craziness this season has brought with postponement, disappointment, and struggles, there have been so many beautiful things to come from it.
I’ve mentioned in previous posts that our approach to this wedding is quite different than any wedding I’ve ever known. What was intended to be one wedding celebration on May 30th has now turned into a 3 month long wedding journey! A lot of prayer and work with our sweet pastor has been put into this journey, and I am excited to share it with you all over the coming weeks. This isn’t just two weddings at the beginning and end of the summer, but a 3 month covenant journey that will lead up to one final celebration come August!
Today I am so excited to share photos from our incredible photographer, Jillian Hogan at our first-look prior to the ceremony! I’ll be honest, I am one to have a really strong opinion on first looks. I’ve never wanted to do a first look at my wedding because I don’t think anything can replace the moment a groom sees the bride for the first time walking down the aisle. For our big day in August we won’t be doing one, but for this particular day, I wanted to make everything feel as natural as possible. A first look felt like the right way to approach this intimate day and ceremony, so that’s what we did!
I’ve raved about our photographer Jillian many times before, but I’ll continue to over and over again, because she is THAT GOOD. These photos will be something I cherish forever and ever. We met at one of my favorite spots in Tyler, a beautiful church near downtown. Jillian and Drew were waiting for me there and once we finished with photos we set off to Troup for the ceremony.
I’ll share all of the photos and details from the ceremony in next week’s post! But for today, here are some snapshots from before the wedding!

I can’t wait to share more from this special day with you! Now we are down to one countdown… the big wedding celebration, August 22, 2020!
73 days to go!
