Happy December!
With the season of giving upon us, I thought it was fitting to make today’s Wedding Wednesday post one that highlights some of our favorite registry items!
Now let me just say, every one of our wedding gifts were special and meaningful to us… because they came from all of the people we know and love dearly. Each gift meant so much to us and was so special because of the person behind the gift. We were showered with so much love from so many incredible family and friends, and we are truly so grateful! I just thought today’s post might be helpful for any couples out there planning a wedding and getting ready to register, and also might also serve as some gift inspo for this Christmas season!
So… here are our top/most used registry items that we LOVE! And if you see something you love or want to gift this season, click on the picture of that item for a shoppable link!
I have officially reached adult status, because I get SO excited and passionate when talking about a vacuum! LOL Y’all. I love that thing. Whoever invented cordless vacuums… thank you! What a great invention! Our Dyson V8 might be my favorite home gadget/appliance/tool that we own! We went with the V8 Animal and I am so pleased with that choice!
When we first registered, I started out with the Chrissy Tiegen cookware set on my registry, and when it sold out I just quickly found a replacement with Rachel Ray. After we received the items off our registry, my mom vocalized her concern of aluminum cookware, and encouraged me to look into it more. After doing more research, let’s just say it took me all of 10 minutes to get in my car and head to target to return it. The things I found about toxins and other dangers of cooking with aluminum were terrifying. I ended up sharing more about that journey of non-toxic cookware on stories with my instagram fam, and long story short we ended up exchanging our cookware for the GreenPan Madison collection. BEST DECISION EVER. And not just because it includes my name! Not only is GreenPan safe to use, but when they say non-stick, it’s no joke! Drew commented just the other night how much he loves our pots and pans because they are SO easy to use and more importantly to clean! If you do cook with aluminum based products, I don’t want to scare you, but I do want to encourage you to do a little bit of research into the concerns regarding it! While I’m not an expert on the topic, the little that I did learn was enough for me to confidently make the choice to switch – always better to be safe rather than sorry and not take any chances or do anything to cause harm to your body. And if you are on the market to upgrade your cookware, I highly highly encourage you to look into the GreenPan brand!
Much like our cordless vacuum, I am also deeply and madly in love with the robot vacuum invention, and sincerely want to thank the master-mind behind it. It’s SO easy to hit the on switch and let our little deebot do it’s thing! There are lots of great brands out there, and I am super happy with the quality and job that our Ecovacs Deebot does! Also, not that it’s important, but I love the crisp white vacuum because it matches our house well! P.S. ours is currently on major sale and you can save $110 on it right now, click here!
I love love love the dishes we ended up with! We chose the Artimino Tuscan Countryside Rope-Edged Stoneware in white! They are absolutely beautiful, the perfect size and weight for everyday dishes, and so easy to clean! I knew I wanted white dishes that could easily tie in with any accent pattern or color, and the rope edge detailing gave them the perfect extra touch!
I was back and forth on whether or not we should do a Nespresso or Keurig, and I am super happy with the choice we made! The new Keurig K-Cafe is great because it has all the same functions as a classic Keurig, but you also have extended options for making lattes, iced coffee and cappuccinos! Bonus: it is currently still on sale from Black Friday, 30% off until Saturday here!
We love our knife set! There’s a large variety of types of knives, they are super sharp and get the job done. And bonus, they’re also pretty 🙂
We registered for many serving and decorative pieces from the Southern Living collection at Dillards, and I love them so much. If I could deck out our entire home in Southern Living Collection, I’d be a happy camper. Their kitchen and serving pieces are SO pretty. This round wooden cheese board is one of my favorites of theirs, and is the perfect size to make a charcuterie board for a night of hosting! Also, we received several other personalized and monogrammed charcuterie boards that we LOVE (I just can’t tag them!) I love the personal and meaningful touch in adding a name or last name initial, and I feel like you can never have too many boards like that when hosting holidays or parties in your home!
I added this beautiful blue and white bedding to our registry once I saw that we were running low on registry items prior to the wedding and many of our necessities had already been purchased. SO glad I did! My advice to engaged couples is to not be afraid to more fun items like bedding and decor on your registry, because they are needed to make a home too! I looooove how this bedding transformed our guest bedroom space and will have to share a room reveal of that room soon!
Lamps can kinda get expensive y’all! I didn’t know that until we started shopping for our home. Again, much like the bedding, lamps are a little more of a ‘fun’ item in my opinion, but totally necessary too! I added a couple of different ones from our Target registry, and they look great in our house!
Helloooooooo pantry organization! OXO is such a good way to keep things fresh, organized and oh so pretty too! We still have a long way of making our pantry into Pinterest worthy #goals, but our OXO storage containers sure help!
Like I said before, there were so many amazing and meaningful gifts we received during our wedding season. However, NOTHING will ever beat or compare to the gift of having our loved ones present with us on our big day. That was the best gift of all. But, beginning a new life together and making a house a home does require work and a lot of things, so we are so grateful for all of the registry items we received to transition into newlywed life!
xx,
Madison
