Maddox’s Baby Boy Nursery Reveal

Welcome to our favorite room in the house!

Just a bit ago I introduced you to our newest little guy, and today I want to share his nursery with you! Little bits and pieces of his nursery have been sprinkled throughout posts and photos, and today I am thrilled to reveal the rest of this happy little space that we love!

Before we even knew he was a boy, I took to Canva to dream up a design for this space and over the last 8ish months I have had so much fun watching it all come to life. It started with a few staple pieces and colors, and then took off from there.

Crib // Glider // Rug // Stand Lamp

I decided to leave the walls neutral and tie in more color through his bedding and dresser. Eventually I would love to add wallpaper to add even more color to the space, but for now we are working with a nice fresh pallet to build on! I knew I for sure wanted a classic and timeless crib, and that’s exactly what I found in this spindle crib.

Floating Shelves // Books // Plaid Blanket // Name Pillow // Scallop Curtains // Doodle Rocker

It’s no secret I love puppies, especially all the puppy things for little bitty boys. It seems anytime I shop for Maddox I simply cannot resist anything puppy or golf themed! This doodle rocker is one that my sweet nephew had in his nursery and I always knew would be a part of a future son’s nursery. I can’t wait until he’s old enough to play on it!

Stork Mobile // Wicker Table // Photo Frame

Dresser (Paint) // Hardware Knobs // Hardware Pulls // Mirror // Lamp // Changing Pad

A huge inspiration for Maddox’s nursery came from this post which is actually a stunning blue and green designed nursery for a baby girl! You’ll actually see a few sources of inspiration found from that post, like this side table and a similar name applique pillow! I adored the bright and calmness of this particular shade of green – a perfect cross between sage and mint in my opinion. I think it translated beautifully on this DIY project for his dresser – we also replaced the hardware as well.

Homecoming Outfit (custom framing) // Monogram Pendant Banner

Growing up my mom had my hospital homecoming outfit framed and hung in my room, and I didn’t quite appreciate the idea of it until having my own baby. This outfit is one that is so special and hallmarks the beginning of a new chapter for our family. I think it is only fitting that it be framed and hung in his room, at least until he’s a teenager! 😉

Hairbrush (similar) // Baby Bible

In addition to the framed homecoming outfit, another really special small detail in his nursery is his baby Bible sitting next to his Daddy’s. During our nesting phase we were cleaning out a closet with some of Drew’s things, and when we came across it I about died. I had just received Maddox’s as a gift and knew Drew’s had to join it in the nursery. If you open up Drew’s you’ll see little ink pen drawings on the first few pages of a stick figure Jesus and a cross with “God is love” written above in the sweetest little handwriting. I can’t wait for Maddox to take his little Bible to church and learn all about his Savior just like his Daddy.

Shelf // Baskets // Pull Train Toy // Books

Maddox’s closet isn’t the most functional as there is no built-in shelving and only two rods for hanging clothes. We decided to remove the lower rod and add in this cube shelf for more storage to eventually house things like shoes and other accessories. The teacher in me couldn’t resist a rainbow ombre organization of board books, and this little train pull toy is too precious for words!

Noah’s Ark Art (custom framing) // Mattress (use code madison_e50 for $50 off) Crib Sheet // Striped Pillows // Lumbar Pillow // Monogram Scallop Pillow // Lamb

My friend Samantha tagged me in an Instagram post introducing me to the precious world of Chelsea McShane Art, and we chose this Noah’s Ark art print for above his crib. I think it beautifully tied in the blues and greens used throughout the nursery and is a daily reminder of the promise of hope God made through the story of Noah!

Scallop Nesting Baskets // Stuffed Animals // Blue Scallop Blanket

Plush Puppy // Shoes // Hospital Door Sign

Thanks for visiting!

I think I could spend all day every day rocking in that chair looking at this sweet baby! He’s everything we ever dreamed of and more – and I think his room perfectly fits the sweetness of him!

xx,

Madison
