Styling a Bar Cart for Fall

Welcome to our dining room!

Last Christmas Drew got me this gold bar cart as a gift, and truth be told… it sat over here in the corner of our dining room empty for about 9 months. I had really good intentions of styling it seasonally, but first trimester pregnancy hit me hard and I pretty much lost all desire to do anything creatively! Once I got over the weight of nausea, life picked back up and we were fully committed to all things baby, and this went to the back burner!

With seasons changing, I got re-inspired to revisit this space and style it seasonally, starting this fall!

I decided to start with a statement piece by using this blue bamboo ice bucket from ClaireBella and it was the perfect piece for the space! I love the pop of color, and it also matches some other pieces we have in the dining area including our rug, ginger jars, and the photograph hanging above. I then added this stunning Flora French Blue Platter from ClaireBella and stacked these acrylic plates and bowls on top to add some more dimension.

The next step was to grab some fresh flowers from our local supermarket, and I’m just a little obsessed with this combination including some of my favorites – daisies, sunflowers, yellow billy button, snapdragon and more! I arranged the bouquet in a white vase we already had on hand, and love how it turned out!

Drew and I are not big drinkers, which is funny that we have a bar cart in our house, but like I said, I really wanted one to decorate seasonally! I did choose to add a bottle of Prosecco and a few of our champagne flutes, along with this bar tool set for a few more practical items. To top it off I added a little white ceramic pumpkin filled with candy and some floral cocktail napkins I found at Homegoods.

This was fun, but I can’t wait to style it for Christmas next!

xx,
