The Sephora Spring Savings Event has just opened up to Insider members until April 11! And while 10% (more if you’re a Rouge or VIB member) isn’t a huge discount… every little bit counts when it comes to the cost of makeup, skincare and haircare. Use code: SAVESPRING for the discount.
I like to use this time to stock up on a few basic I may be running low on like my favorite foundation, this sunless tanning lotion, and a few skincare favorites that I use often.
Here you’ll find my top products for makeup and skincare! These are all products I use daily, not just one’s that I’ve tried or am thinking about. These are my tried and true and favorites to use. One note: a couple of the skincare products I included have been put on hold in my routine during pregnancy as they are not safe to use while pregnant. However, I just recently started using this sunscreen (one of the very few out there that is both pregnancy and nursing safe) and truly love it!
Flawless Finish Setting Powder // Laura Mercier Translucent Powder // Tarte Cream Bronzer // Setting Spray // Brow Duo // Nars Blush (shade: orgasm) // Born This Way Concealer (shade: swan) // Smashbox Highlighter // Melted Matte Lipstick // Kopari Lip Glossy // Double Wear Foundation (shade: wheat) // Pillow Talk Lip Liner // Bad Gal Bang Mascara // Pillow Talk Lipstick // Tula Rose Glow // Jet Lag Mask // In Bloom Eyeshadow Pallet // Mineral Matte Sunscreen // Whipped Cream Moisturizer // Night Serum // Perfume // Tan Luxe Butter // Tan Luxe Drops // Smashbox Under Eye Corrector // Banana Bright Eye Creme // Double Take Eyeliner
You’ll notice I didn’t include any hair products in my round up of favorites. In all honesty, I really don’t use any of the fancy products on my hair. I haven’t really found a need for them recently, and because I struggle with scalp psoriasis, I choose to spend hair money on the medical grade products I need for that. I know there are lots of great hair products out there, but since I don’t consistently use them I don’t feel like I’m the best person to share!
If you are looking to try new products and want my top MVP recs, they would be as follows
- My everyday foundation. I’ve been using this since I was like 15. It’s always been my go-to foundation. I’ve tried many others along the way, and I’ve never found one I love more than this! I wear shade: wheat. I also just recently started using the Double Wear Concealer because: hormonal acne, and it does a great job at concealing those spots underneath my foundation!
- This tanning lotion is my absolute favorite! I am picky about smells and also don’t love going to bed sticky (I apply right after a shower before getting in bed)! This one applies so well, is long lasting, doesn’t stink, and has a really nice color to it. If you’re wanting a bit more of a darker color you can also add in the tanning drops into the lotion for more color!
- This sunscreen that I mentioned before that is pregnancy safe! It’s SPF40 and is a matte tint so it won’t make you oily. I know it’s meant for face, but it’s done a great job also protecting the bump when laying out and soaking up the sun on these warm spring days recently!
- This lip glossy is my favorite summer product! Smells like coconut, keeps your lips moisturized, and has a little glossy finish to it to make it look like you’re wearing a gloss when really it gives you the benefits of more of a chapstick!
- This under eye concealer has been my best friend lately! It immediately brightens up any dark circles under your eyes to make you look more awake and ready for the day! I forsee much more of this in my future when sleep becomes minimal! I am *so* glad Smashbox kept this product when Becca Cosmetics went out of business – it’s so good!
Really, all of these products are so great and truly worth every cent in my opinion. Of course all skin and needs are different, so you have to find what works for you – but for me, these are it! I hope this guide was helpful if you are looking to maybe try a few new products while the sale is still going!
xx,
