Our Journey to Becoming a Family of Three

Good morning friends!

As we close out the month of February, I’m reminiscing on the last 6 months of life as a family of three. Although Maddox doesn’t technically have a “half birthday” because there is no such thing as February 30, it’s not stopping us from celebrating this precious milestone and the mark of half a year with the love of our life!

Motherhood and each moment with him the last six months have been the best of my entire lifetime, and I find myself constantly stopping in the moment looking at him and saying “thank you Jesus for this precious gift” because it is not lost on me how truly precious of a gift he is to us.

One question I am asked often is about our journey to becoming a family of three and getting pregnant. Often the question is something like “did you do anything specific to prepare prior to trying for a baby?” Let me start by saying, if you are in this stage of life and hoping to start a family or add to your family soon, please know that everyone’s story and journey are so different. I have had so many close friends deeply impacted by infertility and miscarriages, and have seen that heartbreak firsthand through them. Please know that if that is you, you are in my prayers and thoughts daily. I share this post to simply shed a little light on what was a small part of our journey with Maddox, but please know I do so cautiously, knowing that everyone’s path looks so different.

For our family, we were so very blessed to have a somewhat “easy” journey to Maddox. We knew our hope was to start trying toward the end of 2021 or early part of 2022, so in the fall I made a call to my OBGYN’s office to see if they had any specific advice or direction for us to start that process. My doctor recommended I go ahead and start a prenatal vitamin as well as start taking folic acid daily. Enter… Beli Baby.

Beli is the prenatal vitamin system that not only I, but also Drew started using prior to getting pregnant with Maddox. If you’re not familiar, Beli’s mission is simple… “to create a positive foundation of health through one small yet significant act of a daily vitamin.”

There are so many benefits to the Beli Prenatal Vitamins including clean ingredients, being free of GMO, vegan, gluten and dairy free, keto and much more. Not only that, they are made in the US, and contain highly activated, bio-available ingredients at optimized levels to ensure nutrients are readily absorbed by the body and can do their job in the way they are intended.

About two months prior to conception, I started taking Beli vitamins daily, and continued throughout my pregnancy as well as now currently postpartum. Beli has truly been there every step of the way through our journey.

One thing I learned from Beli is the value and importance of fertility and health among men as well. Prior to us trying, that wasn’t really something I had considered or thought much about, and I was so glad to learn Beli had a product designed for men specifically. Drew took the Men’s Vitality Multi Vitamin daily during the TTC process.

If you are pregnant or hoping to start a family soon, I cannot recommend this supplement enough. Their website is also packed with wonderful resources for those TTC including a breakdown of pre-conception and each trimester of pregnancy and how the ingredients of Beli vitamins are beneficial to that specific phase of development. There are also numerous articles with so much great information about fertility, conception and pregnancy for new moms and dads!

I will always be so grateful for the role a simple vitamin played in our life and our journey to becoming a family of three. Beli Baby was such a big part of my health and wellness throughout our conception and pregnancy and I now have the most priceless and special gift of all – a sweet and healthy baby boy.
